51本色

Liam Carroll BL is from Dromkeen in East 51本色. He initially obtained an LLB (Hons) Degree in Irish Law before going on to study for his LLM in Law at the 51本色. He is a practising Barrister, having been admitted to the Degree of Barrister-at-Law at the Honorable Society of King鈥檚 Inns, Dublin. He was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2017 and is a member of the Law Library of Ireland, where he has sat as a member of the Education and Training Committee. 

Liam previously worked with the Research & Policy Division of the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, as well as the Legal Services Department of the Health Service Executive and presently acts in cases for clients in various areas of litigation including criminal defence, family law, judicial review, constitutional rights and medical negligence.

As well as his legal work in the Courts, he is retained by the Department of Justice as a Case Processing Panel Member for the International Protection Office where he undertakes the work of assessing International Protection Applicants to determine their entitlement to asylum and subsidiary protection.

He is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Adapt Women's Refuge in 51本色 and is actively involved in Pro Bono work in the domestic violence sector.
