Project
ULEngage is working in partnership with communities across 51本色 City and County to support the implementation of community identified projects. To this end a cohort of International students undertake a UL practicum module through which they work and learn together to help solve community identified needs. To capture student experiences while working with community partners on community identified projects.
The rationale for undertaking this project is to capture the community engaged learning experiences of students and their community partners in action and through the lens of students. This will enable the UL Engage team to learn from the experiences of current international students, inform changes on existing practices/procedures related to the UL Practicum experience for International students and produce a student led video which may be used for promotional and/or training purposes for other international students considering a practicum module.
Voluntary, statutory and local communities across 51本色 City and County. Peers from international universities.
The UL Engage team offers support to students, faculty and community members who are involved in community engaged learning through the UL Practicum. On-going evaluation of the experiences/needs of all groups involved is undertaken. The outputs from this project will inform the development of the Practicum experience for all those involved, going forward, in ways that can enhance both student growth and the common good.
