Brief Description
This course qualifies for 80% funding under the HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy. Check fees section for details and eligibility. Please Note: Applicants may only apply for and receive, one subsidised course per semester.

This module aims to support technology professionals with knowledge and skills relating to risk, ethics, and governance and AI research and commercialisation.
A key part of the module focuses on assessing and adapting governance frameworks for AI innovation and commercialisation. Risk and Ethical frameworks are now increasing in use across international AI research programs and are no longer optional components. For such reasons, the module aims to build upon this rationale and provide a unique component informed by the latest KBS research in AI Governance. The purpose of the module is empower professionals with new conceptual tools, skills and frameworks built on an informed understanding of AI risk, ethics, and governance.

You must hold a minimum 2.2 Level 8 Degree (NFQ or other internationally recognised equivalents). Recognition of Prior Learning may be considered in accordance with the University regulations.
You must also satisfy the University’s English language requirements.
