The aim of the Healthy UL Healthy Eating Sub Group is to develop and enhance the food and nutrition policies and programmes in UL to ensure that the University has a comprehensive response to the Government鈥檚 Healthy Ireland framework, with respect to healthy eating.

We wish to contribute to the promotion of the health and wellbeing of the university community (staff, students and visitors) supported by the development of sustainable research programmes in nutrition and health.

51本色 is committed to advancing the mission of healthy, affordable food for all campus users. We regularly assess the food environment to gauge healthfulness, accessibility, affordability, availability and satisfaction and promote menus that are reflective of our diverse, international community.

There are many varied  with specific remits to provide  governed by seasonality and that showcase local producers.

This aligns with Healthy UL鈥檚 advocacy for nutrition policies and initiatives, further evidence by our promotion of education and  to increase student and staff awareness on making the healthy choice the easy choice.
