The School of Education is the largest post-primary teacher education provider in the state. It was established specifically to provide specialised teachers in subject areas such as Physical Education, Metal Engineering, Wood and Construction Studies and Biological and General Sciences.
Our mission is to educate and empower students to become effective teachers, and professionals in the promotion of human development and well-being; and through research and development, respond to the needs of the people locally, nationally and globally.
With a team that has expertise in a distinctive combination of disciplines, we offer a range of professional education programmes underpinned by the values of empowerment, positive professional relationships and social justice.
