Welcome to the 51本色 Information Technology Division. The Information Technology Division is the central IT Services function at UL. We are responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing the information and communications technology of the University, in support of the University鈥檚 Strategy as articulated in .
In addition to maintaining and developing the university's network and communications infrastructure, including the campus data centre facilities, ITD maintains a suite of enterprise applications and software systems that are critical to the teaching, learning, research and administrative goals of the institution. Our customers comprise all members of the UL community, including staff, students, faculty, support departments and researchers.

ITD is structured into the following groups:
Responsible for providing core Business Intelligence and Reporting systems to the campus community. We provide advisory and consultative services, promoting best practice for adoption and use of standard BI technologies.
Responsible for the integration of ICT into teaching, learning and research practices within the University.
Enterprise Architecture is a new function established in ITD in mid 2018.
- Has responsibility for leading the creation of our UL鈥檚 enterprise architecture approach and plans.
- Coordinates the University's technical architecture, IT standards, compliance, & security.
- Focus areas in the work programme include IT Governance, IT Security, Disaster Recovery and Data.
Responsible for the support, development and management of Information Systems for the operational, management and executive needs of the University.
Infrastructure & Identity Management covers the management of essential IT operations components such as network, systems and storage solutions to maintain industry best practices and control of UL鈥檚 IT resources.
The IT Security team informs and manages compliance against IT security policy across UL's campus community in order to protect UL resources against cybersecurity threats.
This Manager QMS and Quality Officer provides leadership and support to the Division for Quality Assurance and the implementation of the QMS system and standards. Leads the ongoing process of quality assurance across the division, with a focus on the ongoing continuous improvement of the QMS, the achievement of our ongoing ISO certifications and ensuring the revised or new procedures are enhanced in line with the move towards an ITIL aligned IT Division with enhanced tools and procedures.
Responsible for printing, telephone, postal and stationary services.
The Project Management Team has two core functions; Business Engagement and Project Management. Our Business Engagement Partners are the liaison between their customers and ITD around their specific IT requirements. Our Project Managers provide dedicated project management services for IT related projects within the division.
Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of the customers IT devices including personal computers, workstations, peripherals and student PC clusters the first point of contact for calls relating to the services of ITD.
Infrastructure Services
Responsible for the support, development and management of the University-wide electronic communications and digital networking infrastructures.
Responsible for the development and provision of appropriate desktop computing and identity environments to facilitate the learning, administrative and research needs of the University.
The IT Vendor Manager is responsible for ensuring that IT vendors are delivering maximum value through their services in support of the University IT Strategic roadmap and service portfolio. Acting as an escalation point, is responsible for the strategic management of performance, relationship, contract and risk management roles with IT vendors. Develops and leads the IT vendor management strategy, ensuring that IT vendors are delivering maximum value through their services in support of the University IT Strategic roadmap and service portfolio.
