This workshop, organized for Year 4 BBS Students with Spanish, took place on the afternoon of May 2 in the Graduate Attribute Hub. During the session, students learned and engaged with the diverse array of employment opportunities available in Ireland and other Spanish-speaking regions for students of Business and Spanish. They also gained insight into potential career pathways in Latin America, drawing on their four years of studying Spanish-speaking countries and their economies.
The workshop provided a platform for students to discuss their plans and needs as they prepare to graduate this year. Furthermore, they received advice related to career exploration, networking, and professional development within the Spanish-speaking corporate world. This workshop helped to connect students' university life with their life after graduation, providing support for their professional needs and highlighting the benefits that learning a second language offers professionally. Students with business skills and proficiency in a second language have a clear advantage in an increasingly globalized world.
This workshop was organized by Ms. Marta Fortes in collaboration with Ms. Ana Martin and Dr Maria Palomares, with support from the Kemmy Business School, MLAL School, and the Career Services at UL.
